Telit Announces Cloud-Based Event Video Recording via OzVision Management Platform

Powerful new capability adds real-time video to Telit’s deviceWISE platform for a complete IoT solution from connected devices such as cameras and sensors.

Telit, a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced cloud-based event video recording via the OzVision Management Platform.

This powerful new capability adds real-time video to Telit’s deviceWISE platform for a complete IoT solution from connected devices such as cameras and sensors. The OzVision system records, analyzes and distributes massive amounts of real-time data, every day, from over a million cameras worldwide.

“There are times when real-time video is critical in creating true understanding of what is happening in remote and mobile locations,” said Alon Segal, Telit CTO.

“Video, integrated in an IoT solution has the unprecedented power to inform, provide convincing evidence and provide peace of mind.”

For the automotive market, dashboard cameras will now be able to automatically capture and transmit video upon an event trigger. An alert, along with up to 30 seconds of video can be sent to company managers or family members. Fleet managers and direct supervisors can activate preset triggers when harsh braking, excessive speeding or when sensing unauthorized and after-business-hours vehicle use – and then watch a live video stream.

Security applications include fixed surveillance cameras with motion detection capability. Each time the system senses movement, it will send a video clip that starts a few seconds before motion is spotted — and continue transmitting as long it perceives an interloper. The OzVision server is also capable of integrating with third-party analytics services via its OZ INTEGRATE module. At any time, users can view a live video feed.

“The OzVision video cloud platform performs with 99.99% uptime and is a proven provider of plug and play, live view, continuous and event recording, playback and notification services,” said Duby Hodd, OzVision CEO. “We offer complete integration with the deviceWISE platform with a sophisticated set of API’s to ensure rapid IoT deployment.”

Telit Creates New VAR Sales Channel for UK Distributor

Adaptive Modules to resell Telit IoT specialized SIMs as well the portfolio of value-added services.

Telit, a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced that Adaptive Modules will be reselling Telit Mobile connectivity and value-added services under their own brand. The agreement also includes Telit deviceWISE, which is an IoT Application Enablement Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering. With the move, Adaptive becomes a value added reseller (VAR) expanding the company’s current role of distributor of Telit modules.

Value-added services to be provided by Adaptive include M2M/IoT deployment management and troubleshooting offerings like Aware, Intelligence and Automation; connectivity solutions with enhanced performance and steering capabilities by the end customer; provisioning, configuration and management of mobile connectivity; automatic transfer of data between devices and the Cloud; and the ability to collect, and control the flow of bi-directional data transfers between devices and the Cloud.

Telit is evaluating reapplication of this model for other distributors in Europe. Adaptive was selected as the first application case to reposition and move up the value chain most importantly because of its focus on wireless, managing solutions for a variety of (end) user types. For example, in the UK, Adaptive designed a custom embedded computing IoT solution to monitor the consumables and supplies for vending machines that are well-known high street brand located in garage forecourts, informing the garage and the coffee company if there is a degradation in serviceability, cups sold, cleaning trends and other data to maintain the service to its customers.

“We’ve been marketing Telit’s comprehensive range of m2m modules for 4 years and Motorola M2M before its acquisition by Telit. We were aware of the Mobile services portfolio and the business opportunities it’s enabling,” said Andrew Aslett, CEO & Owner of Adaptive Modules. “Becoming a VAR was therefore a logical development and as such it allowed us to extend our offer and move into an expanding sector of the innovative IoT market.”

“This development demonstrates how the flexibility and power of Telit Connect network services and deviceWISE IoT platform can be employed by distributors looking to expand their value chain footprint up from just reselling m2m and IoT hardware,” said Sammy Yahiaoui, Director of Sales EMEA at Telit.

“Early adopters like Adaptive will be well ahead of the curve right away but particularly when we start marketing the company’s next-generation ‘Cloud-ready’ modules. Ultra-advanced mobile and data connectivity will be available right ‘out-of-the-box’.”

Telit collaborates with Agnik on IoT Apps and Big Data Analytics for smart devices in the car, home, and health

Agnik’s ‘off-the-shelf’ apps boost portfolio of integrated Telit deviceWISE solutions.

Telit Wireless Solutions, a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT) and provider of the deviceWISE Application Enablement Platform (AEP), and Agnik, a distributed data analytics software company with both onboard and in-cloud capabilities, today announced their collaboration on IoT applications and Big Data analytics for connected devices in the auto, home, and health industries. Agnik’s solutions expand the quality and quantity of integrated IoT apps and analytics available to customers and ecosystem partners of the industry-leading deviceWISE AEP.

The rapid proliferation of smart devices and products makes it challenging to aggregate and manage all these different data sources and also requires that this trove of data is harnessed and analyzed to extract valuable insights that help companies make more informed business decisions. The Internet of Things is already starting to transform businesses around the world. For example, in the automotive industry Big Data analytics provide a better understanding of vehicle performance, automotive business, automotive risk management, and connect with customers at a deeper level to improve efficiency and brand-loyalty. In the home, Big Data solutions are helping to manage energy consumption, maintain security while allowing entry to repair services while the homeowner is away. Individuals are wearing quasi healthcare devices on their bodies night and day.

Telit and Agnik are at the forefront of providing technology and analytics that make it easy for companies, large and small, to onboard on the Internet of Things – reducing cost, time-to-market, complexity and risk versus trying to engineer a fragmented solution in house. At the core sits Telit’s Cloud-based deviceWISE, the leading Application Enablement Platform for data acquisition, data and device management and data integration. In turn, Agnik converts the data from thousands of connected things into actionable business intelligence, delivered on custom web-based and mobile apps, and dashboards.

“We are honored to welcome Agnik as a deviceWISE business partner. Agnik’s leading IoT apps and Big Data Analytics further expand the number of off-the-shelf deviceWISE Ready solutions that are available to customers, MNOs and partners worldwide,” said Gideon Rogovsky, SVP, Sales and Marketing of deviceWISE platform at Telit. “Telit is creating a growing ecosystem of world-class IoT solution providers – ranging from the device side to applications and analytics.”

“We are pleased to collaborate with Telit and offer Agnik’s analytics-driven ecosystem of products and services to the deviceWISE AEP community,” said Dr. Hillol Kargupta, President of Agnik.

“Agnik offers a comprehensive analytics platform for connected devices powered by our patented, onboard data-stream mining technology and wide range of distributed cloud-based analytics for consumer and commercial applications in connected environments.”

Machine-to-Machine telematicsAgnik’s suite of analytics software products already provide a wide range of powerful, yet easy-to-use, onboard and cloud-based tools that transform data about vehicle performance and user experience into valuable insights, highly coveted by companies in the automotive industry for connecting with car owners at a deeper level. Agnik has also embarked upon a deep analytics driven path in the connected world of devices and products for industrial environments, home and health. Its collaboration with Telit will blend Agnik’s predictive data analytics capabilities with Telit’s device management infrastructure to develop a patchwork of insights into a holistic quilt of knowledge; from what would appear to be on the surface unrelated sources of information, devices, and products.

Telit collaborates closely with an ever-expanding network of recognized experts and innovators from the M2M/IoT community around the world. Telit’s Business Partners include leading technology and product developers, system integrators and telecom carriers – offering customers hardware and software, integration services and support, wireless network services, custom point solutions and applications, or turnkey commercial deployments, as needed. The thriving deviceWISE community centers on the deviceWISE Ready program. deviceWISE Ready promotes interoperability between products and services from our Business Partners and the deviceWISE AEP, thus reducing the risk, time-to-market, complexity and cost of deploying complete end-to-end IoT solutions.
