In advance of millions of Low-Power, Wide Area (LPWA) massive IoT deployments around the world, SIMCom recently formalized agreements with Qualcomm® to secure its position as the largest buyer of the 9205 chipsets in 2020 thus far. In addition to recently launching the world’s smallest 9205-based Cat-M1/NB2 GNSS module for wearables and covert tracking (SIM7090G), SIMCom also launched two additional global variants that are pin-to-pin compatible with existing 2G and NB products (SIM7080G), as well as including 2G fallback (SIM7070G).

SIMCom CEO Yang Tao, said:

“While it’s an honor to be recognized for metrics like shipping the most modules or buying the most chipsets, our primary focus will always be on providing the highest product quality and customer support.”

“We take our customer relationships very seriously and approach them as a valued partner instead of simply a vendor.”

Global certification plans for the new Cat-M1/NB2 modules include FCC, IC, Anatel PTCRB, GCF, CE, all major carriers in the United States, Vodafone in Europe and Telstra among others.
