Leica Geosystems AG, a solution provider to capture, analyze, and present spatial information decided to use Telit’s UC864-G wireless data module for its new surveying system.
The Swiss company deployed Telit’s module in its Leica Viva GNSS systems to transmit and receive correction data through GSM, GPRS, and UMTS.
Leica Viva is a new generation of surveying systems including total stations, GNSS (Global navigation satellite systems) receivers, controllers and onboard software. Leica Viva GNSS is usable for all GNSS tasks in surveying and construction, whether in all-on-the-pole or backpack rover, mounted on a car, quad or boat, RTK field base station, or long term monitoring sensor. Leica Geosystems chose to integrate Telit’s UC864-G module because of its outstanding performance and latest communication technology.
