3eTI incorporates NiagaraAX Framework® into EnergyGuard™ Solution
Tridium and 3e Technologies International (3eTI), an Ultra Electronics company, a leading provider of highly secure wireless networks that enable critical systems security, infrastructure security and industrial automation today announced a strategic alliance that includes 3eTI incorporating the Niagara Framework into their EnergyGuard solution designed for military, government, industrial and utility markets.
As part of 3eTI’s strategy to develop and deliver wireless sensor network solutions for the military and SmartGrid markets, 3eTI has integrated the Niagara Framework into its EnergyGuard system. EnergyGuard is compatible with most SCADA and automation systems and adds FIPS-140-2 Validated and Common Criteria Certified security technology to deliver a robust cyber-security solution for energy management. EnergyGuard affords customers the opportunity to establish an enterprise network of disparate and proprietary industrial automation and SCADA systems across a secure wireless network into a central monitoring environment. By centrally monitoring these high-energy consuming systems and leveraging a secure wireless network, customers can significantly increase their energy efficiently while reducing their costs.
“The addition of Tridium’s Niagara Framework to our portfolio enables rapid delivery to a critical market need for secure sensor networks for reliable energy management,” said Olugbenga (Benga) Erinle, president of 3eTI.
“The core capability of Niagara not only allowed us to develop a solution to our exact specifications and requirements, but also enabled us to expand our product solution based on specific customer deployment needs.”
In a recent pilot project for several Naval bases in the Washington, DC area, 3eTI’s EnergyGuard solution was able to reduce deployment costs and time, support multiple wireless data points on a highly secure network and integrate multiple devices and technologies through a single, flexible interface.
“Developing applications and solutions such as this is exactly what Niagara was designed to do,” said Marc Petock, vice president, global marketing and communications, Tridium. “NiagaraAX provides all the tools necessary and creates a common environment that connects to almost any embedded device imaginable.”
